My good pal Aaron, front-man of the band, Goldfinch, recently won a grant by the city of Tacoma's Spaceworks program. It allows the band to occupy a unused storefront in order to work on their new album.
The coolest part is he thought it would be cool to have a visual artist there too, and let me set up my paintings. They threw a kick-ass party to kick it off...Here are some of the work going up there.

Hands of Healing
Here is a chalk drawing for a local medical collective in downtown Tacoma...Nice folks with a difficult mission ahead of breaking stereotypes and gaining community acceptance. Anyway, they wanted a positive artist-outreach thing done, and I'm into that, so this is what I free-styled!

Chevrolet - 2011
I had an old board left over from 15 years ago or so...I had chalked part of the Kweskin Jug Band on a piece of trashed theatre scrap luan. The other day I slapped some gesso on it and cut poor Jim out of the picture...
Then I put on that old song "Chevrolet" (Though I still prefer Geoff and Maria's version)...This is the result as of today. There's still more to go, but it's fun to see it progress through the stages. Well, here's to recycling!
